This is an encore performance of Colorado Ballet's season closer, Ballet Director’s Choice which will highlight the talents of Colorado Ballet’s dancers in a collection of contemporary ballets. The repertory will open with renowned contemporary choreographer Dominic Walsh's Wolfgang (for Webb), with music by W. A. Mozart. Ballet Director's Choice will then feature two pas de deuxs by two exceptional choreographers: It's Not a Cry by choreographer Amy Seiwert, set to Jeff Buckley’s recording of Leonard Cohen’s "Hallelujah"; and Light Rain choreographer by Gerald Arpino, which was has been The Joffrey Ballet’s signature piece since its premiere in 1981. The production will close with the world premiere of the tango-inspired ballet The Angel of Buenos Aires by choreographer and Colorado Ballet's Ballet Mistress Lorita Travaglia. The ballet will feature music by Piazzolla.
