Based on the classic animated film, Disney’s The Lion King, Jr. brings an epic tale to life on stage. This new adaptation of the hit Broadway show lets young performers take on well-known roles and features songs from the iconic score by Elton John and Tim Rice. CenterStage Theatre Company is excited to present The Lion King, Jr. with a talented cast of tweens and teens. Young Simba just can’t wait to be king of the pridelands—but when he is called upon far too soon, he flees from his responsibility and his feelings of guilt. With the help of his new friends Timon and Pumbaa, he grows up in exile and enjoys a life of “hakuna matata.” His home now ruled by his dastardly uncle Scar, Simba must face his past and take his rightful place as king of Pride Rock if he wants to preserve the circle of life.
