VOW is a 501(c)3 non-profit founded in 2004 by Grammy®-nominated Blues musician Tab Benoit. Benoit is a native of Houma, Louisiana and has long advocated for the protection and preservation of Louisiana's wetlands. In 2004 he brought together some of Louisiana's more influential musicians with the idea to use music as a platform to drive awareness and support for Louisiana's crises to an international audience. The Voice of the Wetlands All-Stars turned out to be a crash course in south Louisiana's rich musical history. Along with Benoit, Cyril Neville of the world-famous Neville Brothers, and critically acclaimed Anders Osborne. Harmonica guru Johnny Sansone, fiddler Waylon Thibodeaux, and drum icon, Johnny Vidacovich, round out the star-studded ensemble. Also gracing the stage is Mardi Gras Indian chief, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux.
An eclectic mix of soulful blues, New Orleans funk, hoodoo rhythms, Cajun Zydeco, and gritty rock-n-roll, the VOW All-Stars take listeners through every genre that has made southern Louisiana special. For the first time in the bands' six-year history, they are taking their music and message on the road. Members of the VOW All-Stars will be on a fifteen-date tour in markets including
