A Japanese-American fisherman named Kabuo Miyamoto goes on trial for the murder of Carl Heine, a well-liked locAl Fisherman and respected war veteran. Set in 1954 in a Puget Sound community divided among fishermen and farmers, whites and Japanese, the story is at once a courtroom drama, a mystery, and a love story. Playwright Kevin McKeon adroitly captures the beauty and mystery of David Guterson's 1994 award-winning novel in this riveting adaptation.
