Al Lewis and Willie Clark were top-billed vaudevillians for over forty years. When CBS requests them for a "History of Comedy" retrospective a young theatrical agent works to re-unite his elderly uncle with his long-time stage partner. Despite their celebrated reputation, the two old men have not spoken in twelve years. The grudging reunion brings them back together, along with a flood of old memories, miseries, and, of course, laughs!

Director Bernie Cardell has cast Roger L. Simon as Willie Clark and Joey Wishnia as Al Lewis with Marcus Turner (Ben Silverman), Ghandia Johnson (Registered Nurse), David Cervera (Eddie / Patient) and Kristine Bachicha (Nurse MacKintosh), John Gleason (Understudy Willie Clark) and Wade Livingston (Understudy Al Lewis).

Neil Simon has written more than thirty plays and nearly the same number of movie screenplays, mostly adaptations of his plays. He has garnered 17 Tony nominations and won three. During one season, he had four successful plays showing on Broadway at the same time, and in 1983 became the only living playwright to have a New York theatre, the Neil Simon Theatre, named in his honor.
