Boulder, Colo. -- Single tickets go on sale Aug. 17 for the exciting 2015-16 University of Colorado Boulder Department of Theatre & Dance season, kicking off Sept. 18 in the Irey Theatre with "[UN] W.R.A.P.: Undoing Writing, Research and Performance" -- a living archive of original and established dance solos created by prominent contemporary African-American choreographers; and Tennessee Williams' career-defining memory play, "The Glass Menagerie," on Sept. 25 in the University Theatre.
Also included in the theater season are "Woyzeck: The Endless Cycle 1.0" (an original adaptation of Georg Buchner's "Woyzeck"), "The 39 Steps" by John Buchan in a hilarious adaption by Patrick Barlow, and Bock and Harnick's classic musical "Fiddler on the Roof"; as well as Shakespeare's probing "The Winter's Tale," Bob Carlton's hilarious "Return to the Forbidden Planet" and "Rabbit Hole" by David Lindsay-Abaire.
The dance lineup includes "Beautiful Human Lies" - an evening of new works by Rennie Harris, the world's foremost choreographer of hip-hop and street-dance theater; and "The Current," a showcase of works by CU faculty and Roser guest artist Faye Driscoll, a Bessie Award-winning choreographer and director who investigates new forms of theatrical experience.
