Jed Bernstein, Producing Director of Theatre Aspen, announced today that that the Theatre Aspen Apprentice Class of 2018 will present I Wish, a devised showcase of their talents and wishes on Sunday, August 12th at 7pm.

This one-night-only celebration of 17 apprentice artists is the culmination of their experience in Aspen. Over the course of the summer, the apprentices have collaborated to create and produce a very personal and joyful evening filled with singing, dancing, and stories that not only represents their unique, individual talents but also reflects a collective voice.

"The Apprentice Showcase is always a highlight of Theatre Aspen's season," Bernstein commented. "With the excellence of the Class of 2018, this year's will be no exception."

Now in its sixth year, Theatre Aspen's Apprentice Program bridges the gap between educational and professional experience with hands-on learning in performance, administration, education, and production. The Class of 2018 - selected from over 600 college students and recent graduates - has been seen all summer on stage, back stage, in the box office, and at the concessions stand.

"We are thrilled for our Class of 2018," Theatre Aspen Apprentice Showcase Artistic Supervisor Elise Kinnon commented. "They have put together an inspiring showcase that speaks to the message of wishes, hopes, and dreams for their bright futures."

General admission tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students. Reserve now by calling the Theatre Aspen Box Office at 970-300-4474 or by visiting www.TheatreAspen.org.

The 2018 Summer Season runs now through August 18th and includes Ragtime, Godspell, and Our Town. For the past 34 years, Theatre Aspen has been rekindling a sense of discovery in audiences who live in and visit the Roaring Fork Valley by producing big theatre in a small space with intimate storytelling. The 35th anniversary season brings world class theatre dramatically closer. To learn more about Theatre Aspen or purchase tickets, visit www.TheatreAspen.org or call 970-300-4474.
