Jed Bernstein, Producing Director of Theatre Aspen announced today that 20% of single ticket sales from the performances of Our Town on July 23rd through 26th will be donated to Aspen Community Foundation's Community to Community Fund to benefit those affected by the fire that has ravaged the mid-valley communities.

In addition, any first responder will be welcomed for free at any performance of Our Town, Wednesday, July 18th through Saturday, August 4th, while seats are available.

"The message of this play resonates so strongly in the wake of this tragedy," Bernstein commented. "We must all come together to support each other in "our town" at this difficult time and celebrate those heroes among us who have risked their lives to ensure our safety."

"The recent outpouring of support for those affected by the Lake Christine Fire is truly inspiring," Aspen Community Foundation Executive Director Tamara Tormohlen commented. "Theatre Aspen's generosity will help ACF to provide assistance and critical services to those who live and work throughout the greater Roaring Fork Valley."

First responders may reserve their tickets by calling the Theatre Aspen Box Office at 970-300-4474.

The 2018 Summer Season runs now through August 18th and includes Ragtime and Godspell in addition to Our Town. For the past 34 years, Theatre Aspen has been rekindling a sense of discovery in audiences who live in and visit the Roaring Fork Valley by producing big theatre in a small space with intimate storytelling. The 35th anniversary season promises to bring world class theatre dramatically closer.
