Producing Director Jed Bernstein officially announced today that Matthew Troillett has joined the staff of Theatre Aspen as Associate Artistic Director.
"Mathew is a surefire pro of the business, and we are thrilled that he is bringing his talent and skills to Theatre Aspen beginning this season. He will help to continue the advancement of our theatre in a new and exciting way," said Bernstein.
"I'm excited to head west to join Jed and the wonderful team at Theatre Aspen," added Troillett. " I look forward to building on the work this incredible organization has created over the past 35 years."
Matthew joins the Theatre Aspen team having spent the last four seasons at Broadway PR firm DKC/O&M, handling publicity campaigns for the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival of Hello, Dolly! and the Tony Award-winning Best Play The Humans, as well as shows including Carousel, The Iceman Cometh, Meteor Shower, The Front Page, Bright Star, and School of Rock, among others. Previously, Matthew served as the Artistic Associate at both Above the Title Entertainment, where projects included Driving Miss Daisy, Grace, Working, Rated P: For Parenthood, and Promise; and at the legendary Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA during its historic re-opening season. Additionally, Matthew spent time in the casting office of Manhattan Theatre Club, at The Human Race Theatre Company, and at the West Virginia Public Theatre. Matthew is a graduate of the Wright State University Professional Actor Training Program.
Matthew takes his position immediately, joining a team that also includes Daniel Benavent (General Manager), Peggy Burke (Office Manager), Jessie Douglas (Associate General Manager), Laura Kriete-Bain (Management Associate), Graham Northrup (Director of Education & Outreach), Tori Rezek (External Relations Officer), Elissa Russell (Education Manager), and Jenny Lyons (Development Strategist).
