Theater Company of Lafayette (TCL) will celebrate the spookiest of months in high Victorian style by staging the world premiere of SHERLOCK HOLMES:  John Watson'S BODY (written by C.P. (Chris) Stancich) running through November 17th.

No stranger to murder mysteries, Stancich is the author of two previous Sherlock plays produced by TCL: “Doom of Devilsmore” (2008) and “Spinsters of Blackmeade” (2010), both published by Heuer Publishing.

"This is my fourth Sherlock Holmes collaboration with Chris,” says TCL Artistic Director Madge Montgomery. “We met when I directed his comic 10-minute play, 'Denouement(s)' in Tacoma, Washington in 1998. It was about a really bad day for Sherlock, as he fails time and again to solve a mystery. Stancich’s newest play, however, is true to the spirit of the original stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, with a classic-style detective story and lots of action and tongue-in-cheek humor. 'John Watson’s Body' explores the friendship between Holmes and Watson in a fresh and insightful way, against a backdrop of delightfully deceptive characters who are filled to the brim with secrets."

Theater Company of Lafayette presents SHERLOCK HOLMES:  John Watson'S BODY intriguing audiences now through November 17th. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2 pm (Nov 4 & 11). For tickets or more information, contact the box office at 720-209-2154 or online at www.tclstage.org. The Theater Company of Lafayette is located at the Mary Miller Theater, 300 E. Simpson Street in Lafayette, CO.
