They're creepy and they're kooky! Join TCL for a fun-filled evening of seven short plays that will evoke the nostalgia of summer nights around the campfire...with some delightful surprises! A talking rock considers revenge on high school bullies, a hungry swamp monster has a taste for a pink-clad cosmetic saleswoman, and a chatty chupacabra longs for a fresh start. All told, campfire stories and mysterious urban legends inspire fresh, funny theater.
"The Jackalope Play Festival continues TCL's highly successful initiative to produce new works. In delightful and imaginative ways, these plays ask us to confront our assumptions as well as our fears, as they shine the light on things that go bump in the night, with hilarious and even poignant results, " says Madge Montgomery, Artistic Director for TCL and director of five of the seven festival plays. Brian Miller, lighting and set designer, directs the remaining two.
