Join the HOYA Foundation and Adams County in encouraging young women to enter the transportation and construction industry. We will also celebrate the ground-breaking women already in the field inspiring the next generation. Currently, women are only 8% of the workforce in construction. With huge projects on the horizon and huge workforce shortages, there is tremendous opportunity right now. The HOYA Foundation believes we owe it to our young women to let them know they have options and choices.

About Transportation and Construction Girl: The HOYA Foundation started Transportation and Construction Girl because they saw a need. Currently, only 8% of the construction work force is women. That means there are huge opportunities for young women. The HOYA Foundation saw a need to help these women open up their career possibilities.

About the HOYA Foundation: HOYA is the Hopi word for a dance that means "ready to fly off next." The HOYA Foundation has been providing services for minority and women owned businesses for more than 20 years. Their mission is to provide technical assistance and training to small and medium sized businesses that want to build capacity and sustainability.
