"Sadko's Song: A Russian Tale," rich in music and lore, is a gentle reminder to be true to ourselves for the rewards in life are fleeting and we must not forget to celebrate the gifts we have been given. This tale celebrates music and love both on land and under the water.

Director Samantha McDermott has cast Kaitlyn Althoff, Karin Carr, Matthew Davis, Luca Grieman, Michael Gurshtein, Eric James, Patti Murtha and Michael Vasicek.

The founders and artists behind The Betsy Stage introduce The BiTSY Stage.

Through the process of storytelling we can find commonality and community. We provide high quality, FREE theatrical productions for the whole family. Our adaptations of international folktales celebrate the things we all have in common while exploring the differences that make our world so rich.

The Betsy Stage will still be producing Shakespearean adaptations from time to time so keep an eye out for those! From 2015 -2015 The [innovative] Betsy Stage produced original adaptations of "Juliet & Romeo: The Panopticon," "The Travesty of Lear," "Beth" all female adaptation, of "Macbeth," "Hamlet" and the spoofical, demi-musical "Othello."

"Sadko's Song: A Russian Tale" is the fourth adaptation of international folktales presented by The Bitsy Stage in 2016. The first, "The Stonemason's Wish: A Chinese Tale," opened in March followed by "The Stone Coat Woman: An Iroquois Tale" in May and "The Fortune Teller's Fortune: A Tale from Nicaragua" in September.
