Springs Ensemble Theatre ("SET") is excited to announce their first annual Backstage Summer Jam Sessions featuring Ben Pratt, The Rogue Spirits, and Alpha.
SET is blocking off our parking lot and opening our theatre to the Colorado Springs community on June 27th from 12pm to 6pm. Everyone is invited to join us for a mini live music and play festival with food trucks, kid's activities, and loads of fun for people of all ages! We're excited to bring this free event to our space featuring Ben Pratt's "Aggressive Dinner Music" which consists of original tunes, cover tunes, jazz, folk, rock and children's tunes; The Rogue Spirits, an alternative folk band hailing from Colorado Springs with Travis Duncan (concertina, banjo) and Jeremiah Walter (baritone ukulele); and Alpha, a local artist who's ready to get your feet moving.
Along with music, there will be activities for kids and adults, a mini play festival in the theatre featuring a variety of performances, coffee from Euphoria coffee, and alcohol for people 21 years old and up.
SET's Backstage Summer Jam Sessions will take place at Springs Ensemble Theatre, located at 1903 E. Cache La Poudre Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80909. The event happens Saturday, June 27th from 12pm to 6pm. This event is free and we invite people to come for all or part of the day. Mini play festival shows will cost $2, with tickets for those shows available day of the performance only. People 21+ who would like to consume alcohol at the event can pre-purchase a wristband for $10 on our website, springsensembletheatre.org (these will also be available on site the day of the event). Springs Ensemble Theatre produces intimate, live theatre in collaboration with artists throughout the Pikes Peak region. By telling diverse stories on our stage, we explore problems and examine choices central to the human condition. We believe that theatre should engage its audience and build community by exercising the conscience, entertaining the mind, and inspiring the imagination.
