Spotlight Theatre Company presents "Born Yesterday" August 29 - September 26 at the John Hand Theater, 7653 E. 1st Place in Denver. Performances are Friday/Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, August 30 and September 13 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 Adult/ $16 for Students/Seniors and available by calling 720-880-8727.

Billie Dawn is the mistress of Harry Brock, a Washington D.C. power broker who has come to town to bribe and buy his way to the top. Harry hires a magazine reporter, Paul Verral, to teach Billie the knowledge and manner needed to make a good impression on Washington's elite. When Paul and Billie fall in love, however, the play becomes a statement on feminism and the power one woman can hold.

Director Clint Heyn returns to Spotlight Theatre with "Born Yesterday" with a cast that includes Will Nye (Harry Brock), Mellisa Zarb Cousin (Billie Dawn), Jeff Jesmer (Paul Deverall), Kris Graves (Eddie), Michael Ingram (Ed Devery), Ben Butler (Barber/Assistant Manager), Kelly Krause (Helen), Andrea Romano (Manicurist), Andrew Harrison (Bellhop/Waiter/Bootblack), Dan Connell (Senator Hedges), Annie Reiplinger (Mrs. Hedges).

Will Nye moved to Denver from California in 2000 and joins the cast of "Born Yesterday." He is best known for his recurring role as Deputy Floyd McCallum in Murder, She Wrote. Guest star appearances include Seinfeld, Coach, Home Improvement, Moonlighting, Newhart and Hill Street Blues. Will performed the role of Tommy in the award-winning production of The Hasty Heart by John Patrick and directed by Martin Speer. The Hasty Heart, starring Gregory Harrison, Lisa Eichorn, and Kurt Russell. won six L.A. Drama Critic Circle Awards, including Best Ensemble, in 1981 and was filmed for Showtime. Locally he has done "A Folded Flag" at the John Hand Theatre, "Fairfax Riviera" at the Everyman Theatre, and "Permanently Missing" at the Acoma Center.
