The award-winning Northglenn Youth Theatre (NYT) is proud to announce that they have chosen AIDA as their Spring 2010 production. Elton John and Tim Rice's AIDA is a contemporary musical take on a classic tale of the timeless bond between an enslaved Nubian princess and an Egyptian soldier. Together, they set a shining example of true devotion that ultimately transcends the vast cultural differences between their warring nations, heralding a time of unprecedented peace and prosperity. AIDA has some adult themes and is rated PG by Music Theatre International.
The cast of talented performers includes Grammy-nominated local Brityn Mykhail as Amneris, NYT favorite Michael Ochoa as Radames, and Denver School of the Arts student Danielle Jackson as Aida.
The show runs April 16-25, 2010 at the D.L. Parsons Theatre in the Northglenn Recreation Center and includes two performances for school groups on Wednesday, April 21 and Thursday, April 22 at 10 a.m. Call (303) 252-3866 for group pricing and reservations.
AIDA is proudly sponsored by the City of Northglenn, the Northglenn Arts & Humanities Foundation (NAHF), and the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD).
