Evergreen Players present the Regional Premiere of REMAINING IN ORBIT by Colorado Playwright, Scott Gibson January 13 - 29 in Evergreen, CO. Henry "Hen" Loudin, a self-absorbed middle-aged man has shut himself off from the distractions and annoyances of the outside world, aided by his opinionated assistant Ginnie who runs errands--and interference--on his behalf. One day, Hen's neighbor, the free-spirited Lissie bursts into his life, creating havoc with his well-ordered existence. A seriocomic examination of co-dependence between three slightly dysfunctional people each seeking a chance at happily-ever-after.

The cast, under the direction of Len Matheo, includes John Samson as Hen, Megan Heffernan as Ginny and Rachel Graham as Lissie.

Scott Gibson is a Colorado native and an Evergreen resident for the past 39 years.  He has credits as a director, actor and producer at a variety of theatres in Denver and the Front Range area.  His play, Someone Else's Life was co-winner of the 2005 Steven Dietz Playwriting Competition in 2005, and his short play The Last Good Day won The Long Island Public Access Television's Original Playwriting Contest in 2008 and has been broadcast in various television markets around the country.  In May of this year, his plays Two-Point-Five and Sleep Tight were performed at The Producer's Club in NYC, and his mystery/thriller Kill the Moment will open in Dallas next March.  He is also the author of a handful of novels, the latest of which, Welcome to Judelaine, will be published in early 2012.  He is particularly honored to have The Evergreen Players showcase REMAINING IN ORBIT.
