ALoFT Productions presents BAD HABITS by Terrence McNally, playing now through August 25th at the 73rd Avenue Playhouse. In Dunelawn, we are in an expensive retreat for the unhappily married, where the wheel-chaired director, Dr. Pepper, dispenses a definitely unique sort of marital guidance. His theory includes complete indulgence in such "bad habits" as smoking, drinking and sexual promiscuity—which seems to work wonders for his patients, whose wacky case histories are each examined in hilarious detail. For Ravenswood the approach is quite the opposite. Here the saintly Dr. Toynbee injects his straitjacketed charges with tranquilizing drugs to calm such urges—but again the catalogue of aberrations revealed in his patients is subjected to close, and enormously funny, scrutiny.
Under the direction of Guillermo Gomez, the cast includes Beau Bohlen (Roy Pitts/Mr. Yamamoro), Emma Mackoy (April Pitts), Michael Greening (Dr Pepper/Mr. Ponce ), Nicholas Schmid (Otto/Dr. Toynbee), Tami LoSasso (Dolly Scupp), Tim Campbell (Hiram Spane), Austin Hill (Francis Tear/Mr. Blum.), Andrew Hunter (Harry Scupp/Hugh Gums), Kylene Hurley (Nurse Benson), Sherean Samimi (Nurse Hedges), and JD Lopez (Bruno).

ALoFT is a company founded by a high school theatre teacher and two of her alumni. Born of an idea hatched in 2005, ALoFT Productions is a labor of love between Tami LoSasso, director of the Lakewood High School Theatre Company, and Guillermo Gomez and Timothy Campbell, graduates of the class of 2005. Along with Beau Bohlen and Beatriz Gomez (both the class of 2007) who have been stalwart supporters all along the way, ALoFT Productions is lucky to showcase the talents of many LHS alumni while welcoming in actors from the community into the company to make a new theatre family in Denver. Tami, Guillermo and Tim share co-founder status and are hopeful that you support our foray into community theatre, that you are entertained, and that you continue to enjoy our future projects as we take A Leap of Faith Together: ALoFT Productions.
