Theatre Company presents Six Characters in Search of an Author, September 9 through October 9 in Westminster, CO. A group of actors are preparing to rehearse for a Pirandello play. While starting the rehearsal, they are interrupted by the arrival of six characters. The leader of the characters, the father, informs the manager that they are looking for an author. He explains that the author who created them did not finish their story, and that they therefore are unrealized characters who have not been fully brought to life. The manager tries to throw them out of the theater, but becomes more intrigued when they start to describe their story.

The cast: (in order of appearance) Melissa Huff (Technician), Brittney Chowning (Stage Manager), JC Williams (Leading Man), Andrew Kreutzer (Juvenile Lead), Randy Diamon (Director), Amy Shaffner (Leading Lady), Jim Charleston (Father), Miranda LeQuire (Stepdaughter), Brandon Palmer (Son), Linda Shindler (Mother), Paige Flageolle (Little Girl) and Maru Garcia (Madam Pace).

Luigi Pirandello was an Italian dramatist, novelist and short story writer awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1934 for his "bold and Brilliant renovation of the drama and the stage." Pirandello's works include novels, hundreds of short stories and about 40 plays. His tragic farces are often seen ads forerunners for Theatre of the Absurd.

The 73rd.
