The Arvada Center has announced its 2018-2019 season, a diverse line-up of plays and musicals. The three musical and four play season includes a world premiere play, two regional premieres, and a Broadway smash-hit. The season also marks the third year of the Black Box Repertory Theatre, a company of actors who will perform three of the Black Box Theatre's four plays in repertory. The 2018-19 Theatre Season is sponsored by Lutheran Medical Center.
Theatre ticket packages range in price from $120 to $318 and go on sale to current and new subscribers beginning April 2 at 9:00 a.m. Continuing this year is the Theatre Salon subscription that includes three options; all seven plays, three musicals or four plays and includes a ticket for each production in the package. Audience engagement events held throughout the season include pre and post-show talks for most Black Box plays; happy hours and moderated talk backs on select dates for the Main Stage musicals. Details are on the Arvada Center website.

"The Black Box is launching many firsts this season, including a three-play spring repertory season, which features plays by women and a world-premiere by local writer and actress Jessica Austgen," said Lynne Collins, Artistic Director of Plays. "We will continue to hire the area's finest actors to tell stories that will move, delight and surprise our audiences."
"Our three Main Stage musicals take a look at love and life and the many forms it takes," said Rod A. Lansberry, Producing Artist Director of Musical Theatre. "This season's musicals offer us with three different views of love. Love of family, love of life and tradition, and romantic love, even when there are complications."
