The Lakewood Cultural Center and Performance Now Theatre Company co-present "Crazy for You" from March 22 through April 7 at the Lakewood Cultural Center. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets start at $20 and are available at 303-987-7845, Lakewood.org/LCCPresents or the Lakewood Cultural Center Box Office, 470 S. Allison Parkway (Wadsworth and West Alameda Avenue).

"Crazy for You" is a truly delightful homage to the beloved, optimistic musicals of the 1930s: a world of showgirls and cowboys in which a city boy and a country girl reconcile their differences, fall in love and save a theater, the old-fashioned way. The heartwarming story follows a hilarious case of mistaken identity, dotted with Vaudeville-era jokes and tender moments, and it uses every opportunity to break into spectacular tap dance routines. This romantic comedy, which won both a Tony Award and an Olivier Award for Best Musical, is based on popular George and Ira Gershwin tunes including "I Got Rhythm," "Embraceable You," "Nice Work if You Can Get It" and "Someone to Watch Over Me."

The cast includes Nick Madson as Bobby Child, Anna Hardcastle as Polly Baker, Jane Phillips as Mrs. Lottie Child, Brekken Baker as Irene Roth, Dave Gordon as Lank Hawkins, Andrew Bates as Bela Zangler, Becky DeLio-Trampler as Patricia Fodor and Brian Trampler as Eugene Fodor.

The Lakewood Cultural Center Presents 2018-2019 season is generously supported by the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), a unique funding source serving hundreds of metro Denver arts, culture and scientific organizations; Colorado Creative Industries; National Endowment for the Arts; and The Denver Post Community.
