Radical Artists Agency, representing Colorado's most accomplished actors and voice-over artists, announces Kathleen Ross Ham as full partner in the agency.
Teaming with Kathey True, the two of them have booked talent on every major production shot in Colorado during the last twenty years. Both agents formerly ran the broadcast media division's for other Denver talent agencies and now combine their strengths and industry expertise for what is sure to be a powerhouse duo. Together, from different corners, they have fought to keep industry standards in the market, to best serve their talent clients, Denver casting directors and production/advertising clients alike.
Kathleen Ross Ham has served the Colorado creative community for nineteen years as Director, Media Division at the Donna Baldwin Agency. Prior to moving to Denver, Ms. Ham spent seven years with Acting Management, a New York City casting hub, where she managed and coordinated casting for film and television, commercials, industrials and voice-over. While in Manhattan, Kathleen also garnered work as free-lance casting assistant with several top NYC casting directors. She holds degree from Florida State University School of Theatre.
"I have been deeply invested in the Colorado market for nineteen years and I love our creative community. It is gratifying to watch it grow, to be part of its growth and I take great joy in the relationships I've created with my clients," Ms. Ham said. "When Kathey asked about partnering, I knew it was the right move and the big opportunity of my career. We are excited to take RAA to the next level. We share the same vision for growth, business ethics and integrity built on a foundation of love for the industry, actors and VO artists."
As one of Denver's premiere talent agents, she knows the industry, its rhythms, and how it works here in the Rocky Mountain region. Ms. Ham also teaches a bi-annual voice over class at the Denver Center Academy, Denver Center for the Performing Arts, and represents the industry in a variety of national and regional groups and institutions.
Kathey True began her career in the entertainment industry 24 years ago as an actress in Denver Colorado. Kathey worked in Denver until 1997, when she made the move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. While in LA she worked as an assistant at some of the larger studios gaining more insight into other aspects of the industry.
Upon returning to Colorado in 1999 she took a receptionist job at Big Fish Talent where in less than a year she was moved up to an agent position. In 2002 she took on the daunting task of rebuilding the media division of the then SAG/AFTRA franchised agency, Maximum Talent. In 2005, Kathey True and Patty Kingsbaker joined forces to open Radical Artists Agency.
Ms. True has built a solid reputation in the Denver market as someone who works extremely hard for her actors while maintaining the respect and loyalty of the clients. She has continued to reach out to other markets establishing contacts with casting directors in New York, Los Angeles and New Mexico. With that effort Radical Artists Agency became known as "The Actors Agency" representing the best actors in Colorado.
When Kingsbaker retired in April 2017 Ms.True became the sole owner of Radical Artists Agency. After running the agency alone for over a year she was ready to expand the business and once again take it to the next level. Enter Kathleen Ross Ham.
On July 1, 2018, Kathleen and Kathey became full partners in Radical Artists Agency stating, "We are beyond thrilled to be working together to co-create our new vision for the agency and to share our creative strengths with the Colorado creative community. Our mission is one of empowerment."
