Jamie Brickhouse Brings Acclaimed Solo Show DANGEROUS WHEN WET To Denver Image

Directly from NYC, comes 4-times Moth champion Jamie Brickhouse's award-winning, critically-acclaimed solo show Dangerous When Wet: Booze, Sex, and My Mother.

Directed by Obie Award-winning David Drake (The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me) it's Jamie's alcoholic odyssey from small-town sissy to louche Manhattanite that's wickedly intoxicating as he hits bottom and discovers he can't escape the all-consuming love of Mama Jean. A Texan Elizabeth Taylor with the split personality of Auntie Mame and Mama Rose, she never has a thought she doesn't speak and unwittingly helps Jamie become an out, proud gay, HIV-positive man in recovery. Darkly comic, you'll cry laughing.

Two shows only on Friday May 17th and Saturday May 18th at 7:30PM. At The Bug Theater (3654 Navajo St, Denver, CO 80211). Tickets: $20. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/dangerous-when-wet-booze-sex-and-my-mother-tickets-59280100376

The show has won: "Audience choice Award" at 2017 FRIGID Festival in New York, "Sold Out" and "Best Of Fringe" in 2018 San Francisco Fringe Festival, "Best Bet" of 2018 Capital Fringe, amongst others. The Washington Post called Jamie "A natural raconteur", and Time Out New York called him "A top teller".

The shows will feature Q&A segments with Denver Drag Queen Jessica L'whor and Denver Moth host Kevin Carlin.
