A musical look at the courage it takes to follow your dreams, tick...tick... BOOM! is Jonathan Larson's autobiographical tale of a young composer on the brink of turning 30 and falling into oblivion. His girlfriend wants to get married and move out of the city (Tick,), his best friend is making big bucks on Madison Avenue (Tick...), yet Jon is still waiting on tables and trying to write the great American musical (Boom!). Containing fourteen songs, ten characters, three actors, and a band, tick...tick...BOOM! takes you on the playwright/composer's journey that led to a Broadway blockbuster.

The cast includes Keith Rabin, Jr. as Jon, Rob Riney as Michael and Lindsey Falduto as Susan.

Jonathan Larson left behind stacks of handwritten notes for "tick...tick...BOOM!" providing a unique insight into his creative process. With few exceptions, he wrote on loose-leaf, college-rule paper, in thick pencil. Many of the pages were handwritten drafts of song lyrics and monologues. It appears that Larson would begin by writing out fragments of lyrics (or lyric ideas) on paper, crossing out words and making changes as he wrote. He would then write out a complete version of the lyric by hand; some pages had nearly finished song lyrics with no scratched-out words or changes. Finally, he would type the completed lyric into the script, sometimes printing out copies which he would then edit and revise by hand." - Lindsey Gearhart, Jonathan Larson Papers Collection, Library of Congress, 2007.
