Amid all the tinsel and jingle bells-what are the holidays really for? Peace on earth? To find the inner strength to have one peaceful dinner with family? Just to laugh and spread holiday cheer? Elfie Shtick thinks it's all about laughs and fun. The show will magically appear the Friday after Thanksgiving and disappear the Friday before Christmas.
This show isn't a bah-humbug-elf-bashing-Grinchy sneer at the holidays. "This is a holiday show for people who like the holidays," says director Eric Farone. "What makes this show different is that it's a modern, non-snarky show. Elfie Shtick is a joyful, funny, modern look at the holidays."
"There is some stress that goes along with family get togethers and shopping for gifts," says cast member Kat Bond, "I hope to shed light on the wacky, irreverent side of those things. This show is high energy and will pump you up. We have been working on a late night or variety show vibe, so it will be an action packed show full of movement and music."
