Denver Public Art Calls For Qualified Artists For New Denver Botanic Garden ImageDenver's Public Art Program, now in its 30th year, seeks to commission an artist or team of artists to create an original work of art for the future Freyer - Newman Center at the Denver Botanic Gardens.

Applications will be accepted at CallforEntry.org through Monday, Nov. 26, 11:59 p.m. The budget for this project is $300,000 and the commission is open to all artists.

The selection panel has recommended a site-specific artwork to be integrated into the exterior plaza of the Freyer - Newman Center, and is looking for artworks that create a distinct connection to the natural world. In addition, artworks should engage multiple senses, harnessing tactile and auditory components while demonstrating the connection between the micro and macro, as well as honoring human relationships to the natural environment and enhancing the experience of those that use and enjoy the center.

The Freyer - Newman Center is located near the main entrance to the Denver Botanic Gardens, at the corner of York St. and 11th Ave., Denver, CO.

More information on this RFQ can be found at DenverPublicArt.org.
