The Denver Post has reported that the Denver Center for the Performing Arts has decided to phase out the prestigious National Theatre Conservatory.

This news comes as a shock to patrons, alumni and the Denver theatre community.

Started in 1984, it is the nation's only congressionally chartered MFA program. It is being reported that the current new students in this 3 year program will be its last graduating class.
