The Denver Center for the Performing Arts is proud to announce they will be hosting the inaugural Storytellers Initiative Script Competition in partnership with SeriesFest on Saturday, June 20.

"We are thrilled to partner with this exciting new event," said Scott Shiller, President and CEO of the DCPA. "Today, many playwrights are bi-coastal, often writing for stage and screen concurrently. The Denver Center is committed to nurturing new voices across mediums and we are proud to partner with SeriesFest as they celebrate Denver's thriving arts scene."

The Storytellers Initiative is a comedy script competition for promising comedy writers founded by SeriesFest in partnership with Los Angeles based production companies Parallel Entertainment and Yay Big. Out of hundreds of submissions, three finalists have been selected. On June 20, the trio will see their scripts brought to life by professional actors on stage in the DCPA's Conservatory Theatre. One grand prize winner, announced on June 21st, will receive a development deal and the opportunity to have their script produced as a professional pilot.

The event will be held in the Conservatory Theatre on Saturday, June 20 at 2:00 p.m.
