For the fourth year in a row, readers of The Denver Post have voted Creede Repertory Theatre's season "Best Year by a Company", amongst 100 theatre companies nominated throughout the entire state.

CRT also won Reader's Choice awards for Theatre Person of the Year - Maurice LaMee
Best Comedy - The Imaginary Invalid
Best Supporting Actress in a Comedic Role - Anne F. Butler as Toinette in The Imaginary Invalid
Best Year by an Actress - Diana Dresser
Best Year by an Actor - Michael Bouchard.

Michael Bouchard also won John Moore's Ovation Award for Best Year by an Actor. As Mr. Moore writes, "In a boggling, busy 2009 that included winning turns at Moliere, children's theater, barbershop harmony and much more, Denver audiences finally got a glimpse at what Bouchard can do when he bowed at the Arvada Center as a lovesick songwriter in The Second Tosca. Seriously, if every artistic director in town knew what this guy can do, they'd all be fighting over him." His roles in 2009 included: Swiss Family Robinson (Ernst), The Imaginary Invalid (Dr. Gastreau), A Wonderful Noise (Ned), Boomtown (Ensemble), CRT Songbook (Ensemble), Kimberly Akimbo (Jeff), and Grimm Pajamas (Wilhelm) for CRT; The Second Tosca (Nathaniel) and Honk (Cat) for The Arvada Center.
Denver Post Ovation Award nominees are chosen each year by theatre critic John Moore. Mr. Moore chooses the Ovation Award winners and readers vote on-line to determine the winners of the Reader's Choice Awards. CRT extends a heartfelt thank you to supporters and voters.
