HOST Stephen Agyei
Stephen Agyei is one of the fastest-rising stars in comedy today, behind a mischievous style industry veteran Lamont Ferguson once memorably described as "calculated fearlessness." A finalist in the Great American Comedy Festival, winner of Comedy Works' Clean Comedy contest, and runner-up the same year in the elite venue's New Faces contest, the Denver-based comic has featured at clubs coast-to-coast and opened for premier performers such as Dave Chappelle, Mitch Fatel, Myq Kaplan, Todd Barry and Jeff Dye.
SPECIAL GUEST Beth Brandon
A veteran performer and comedy writer, Beth Brandon now lives a watered-down version of the high life in Aspen, Colo., where she writes the column "I digress..." for the Aspen Daily News and tells jokes on the side. She has studied improv and sketch writing at The Second City in Chicago, and performs locally with Comedy Mercenaries. She was an original member of Laugh Your Aspen Off.
FEATURED PERFORMER Troy Walker
Troy Walker is already one of Denver's most sought-after comedians, a designation he'd dismiss with a modest scoff, despite its accuracy. A regular at Comedy Works, Troy has won the Comedy Works "New Faces" contest twice. Walker has had the pleasure of opening for some of the most prominent comedians in the country and also serves as a fine ambassador of Denver comedy at national and local comedy festivals including The Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival, The Great American Comedy Festival, The Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, Portland's Bridgetown Comedy Festival, and The Telluride Comedy Festival. After witnessing his storytelling abilities and commanding presence on-stage it should come as no surprise that he's also a licensed attorney who graduated from The University of Denver's Sturm College of Law.
HEADLINER Adam Cayton-Holland
Named one of Esquire Magazine's 25 "Comics to Watch," Adam Cayton-Holland (www.adamisfreakingoutrightnow.com) is a national touring headliner who has appeared on Conan, The Pete Holmes Show and @midnight on Comedy Central, plus the ABC sitcom Happy Endings, and has been featured on The Nerdist, Comedy Bang Bang and Sklarbro County podcasts. He has performed at Montreal Just For Laughs, SXSW, Bridgetown Comedy and Rooftop Comedy festivals, and recently launched his own Denver-based comedy extravaganza, The High Plains Comedy Festival. His critically-acclaimed monthly show and Web series, "The Grawlix" (with fellow comedians Ben Roy and Andrew Orvedahl), recently filmed a pilot for Amazon Studios called "Those Who Can't." Adam's podcast, "My Dining Room Table," can be downloaded on iTunes.
