On Friday, October 20th at 8 p.m. in St. Mary's Cathedral celebrate the culmination of Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble's High School Residency program, Gateways!
Admission is free. Donations gratefully accepted and support CVAE's future outreach programs.
Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble's High School Choral Residency program, Gateways, is designed to mentor young singers in the art of choral singing. This year, CVAE is privileged to work with two exceptional youth ensembles: Fountain Fort Carson High School Choir (Anna Langr, director), and Palmer Ridge High School Chamber Singers (Arianne Thomas, director). This concert culminates a 4-week residency of participating schools, during which members of CVAE work closely with student ensembles on selected repertoire. The concert features works in a wide range of choral styles, and allows each group to perform separately, as well as in combination with CVAE. The final selections bring all 90 voices together for a powerful finish.
