Feeling lost in The Shadows of marriage and post-WWI society, two unhappy London housewives decide to rent a villa in Italy for a ladies-only holiday away, reluctantly recruiting a pair of difficult upper-class women to share the cost and the experience. There, among the wisteria blossoms and Mediterranean sunshine, the four women clash-and then begin to bond and bloom-rediscovering themselves in ways that they-and we-could never have expected.
About Enchanted April, director Kirsten Jorgensen Smith says, "This show is like a good tiramisu. It starts out with strong individual flavors that can be bitter left alone, but once blended together, becomes a beautiful treat. It is such a pleasure to direct a simple story about love and finding forgiveness. This talented, dedicated and excited cast is the icing leaving me wanting seconds."
"Beautiful and theatrically rewarding. From darkness to light, from inhibition to unrestrained joy ... a comical, restorative journey of discovery." -Variety
