"Nebbia is the third part of the Sky Trilogy. Nebbia is a creation of Cirque Eloize in co-production with Teatro Sunil. Meaning fog in Italian, Nebbia explores the world of dreams and the imaginary. In the fog, you get lost, you find each other, but above all, you are confronted with the unexpected...Nebbia will once again plunge you into a poetic and sensitive universe mixing acrobatics to theatre in a subtle way..."

At the crossroads where acrobatic theatre, modern circus, and performance come together, Nebbia combines theatrics, rhythm, acrobatic skills, circus acts and poetry. Emotion and sensuality take a pivotal position alongside music and singing in the collaborative process embraced by Cirque Éloize and Teatro Sunil. The musical score for this new creation becomes a character in its own right, carrying on a dialogue with the 12 on-stage performers.

Experience the sights and sounds of a European circus in this vibrant production that brings together an international cast of acrobats, clowns, jugglers, trapeze artists and musicians to create a rich, fast-paced tango of emotions. In a brilliant co-production, French Canadian companies Cirque Éloize and Teatro Sunil present NEBBIA - Italian for "fog - a show featuring circus arts, music, dance and theater, melding together to plunge audiences into a world of dreams, imagination, and the unexpected.

The show is directed by acclaimed author, choreographer, and clown Daniele Finzi Pasca, whose unique style has been seen in Cirque du Soleil's Corteo, on Broadway, and in the closing ceremonies of the 2006 Olympic Winter Games.

Based on what I have seen on the company's website, this is a show not to be missed. It will only be at the Buell Theater for 2 performances. You can see a preview of the show at:

At the heart of the circus arts revival, Cirque Éloize has been creating moving performances filled with magic since 1993. Continually striving for artistic perfection, it is one of the leading companies in contemporary circus arts. Based on the multidisciplinary talents of its artists, Cirque Éloize expresses its innovative nature through theatricality and humanity, and combines circus arts with music, dance andtheatre in a break-through and original manner. With six original productions to its credit, Cirque Éloize has presented more than 3,000 performances in 330 cities and 30 countries located around the world. Cirque Éloize has taken part in numerous prestigious international festivals and has conquered Broadway with its show Rain.

In addition to its tour performances, Cirque Éloize develops personalized concepts for international special events. To date, more than 500 events have taken place. Moreover, in 2003, Cirque Éloize organized the first circus arts festival in North America - "La Semaine des Arts du cirque" - in the Magdalen Islands. The company also founded the Fondation Éloize, which has a mission to help underprivileged youth through an introduction to circus arts and help develop the performing arts. The troupe "Artcirq", made up of young Inuit living in Canada's far north(Nunavut), is the first organization to benefit from this support. Since 2004, Cirque Éloize's head office and creative studio are located in the Gare Dalhousie, a historical building which housed the Écolenationale de cirque of Montréal from 1986 to 2003. In order to maintain this site as a place for dialogue and encounters for the circus community,Cirque Éloize invites up-and-coming artists to visit.

Today, the company includes approximately 100 individuals working in various teams and on various projects.
