Cherry Creek Theatre Company presents Over the River and Through the Woods by Joe Dipietro and directed by Gavin Mayer on October 3 - 26, 2014.

Nick is a nice, single, Italian-American boy from Jersey. Nick dines with both sets of grandparents every Sunday. This Sunday he has to break the news that he has been offered his long-awaited dream job...2000 miles from Hoboken in Seattle. Watch them as they go into full action to find a way to keep Nick at home. Even to the extent of finding him true love.

Cherry Creek Theatre welcomes back Anne Oberbroeckling* as Aida, who was last seen in their 2013 award winning production of "Doubt," and to welcome 25 year Denver Center Theatre Company veteran, Kathleen Brady* as Emma. Joining the cast, and making their CCTC debut, are Luke Sorge as Nick, Heather Dorris as Caitlin, Eddie Kirsch as Frank and Martin A. David as Nunzio.

Joe DiPietro is best known for the Tony Award-winning musical "Memphis," as well as for writing the book and lyrics for the long-running off-Broadway show "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change." Other works included "Nice Work If You Can Get It," a re-imagining of a Gershwin musical, starring Matthew Broderick and Kelli O'Hara, was nominated for Tony Awards in 2012, and DiPietro won the Drama Desk Award for Best Book of a Musical, the award winning "The Toxic Avenger" and the heartwarming comedy "The Last Romance."
