Broadway actor Bryan Batt, perhaps most recognized for his role on AMC's Emmy, SAG and Golden Globe award-winning "Mad Men," will perform at Theatre Aspen's Spring Benefit this Saturday, February 21st at the Hotel Jerome. In keeping with the 'Zombie Prom' theme of the evening Batt, who appeared in nine Broadway productions, including Saturday Night Fever, Beauty and the Beast and Seussical, will not only perform as part of the evening's entertainment, but will judge the evening's contest for Prom King and Queen.

Theatre Aspen's spring gala is the organization's most important fundraising event, raising money for an extensive year-round education program and a summer repertory theatre. This year's season, once again underwritten by American National Bank, will feature The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Same Time Next Year and A Year With Frog and Toad. At last year's gala, Aspen philanthropist Alex Kaufman provided the evening's highlight by winning the "Last Man Standing" contest with a donation that gave him first-time naming rights for Theatre Aspen's venue. This summer, visitors will once again be welcomed to the Alex Kaufman Theatre in Rio Grande Park.

Theatre Aspen's Artistic Director Paige Price said: "Bryan will jolt Theatre Aspen's gala with his tremendous talent and comic personality. This event will reinforce how important arts and entertainment are to a community's vitality and spirit in any climate - and I know we can expect the continued support of Aspenites and others who enjoyed last summer's season."

Unique and exciting auction items include two Major League Baseball packages: "2009 MLB All-Star Weekend Series Pass," with tickets to ALL events at Busch Stadium in St. Louis and "Manager For A Day," offered by St. Louis Cardinals Manager Tony La Russa, including La Russa's box seats, field passes for batting practice, lineup review and a post-game chat.

Single tickets for Theatre Aspen's Zombie Prom Benefit are priced at $375 and are tax-deductible. For further information contact Theatre Aspen at 970-925-9313 x2. www.theatreaspen.org

Sponsors for this year's gala include Aspen Sojourner, the Hotel Jerome, Depaz Rum and Trinchero Wines.
