HAIR celebrates the sixties counterculture in all its barefoot, long-haired, bell-bottomed, beaded and fringed glory. The American tribal-love rock musical is directed by Heather Frost with music direction by Linda Luchtenburg, featuring choreography by Lena Murphy-Trihn. Performances will take place at the Mary Miller Theatre in Lafayette, Colo., now through June 24. (A detailed performance schedule is below.) Due to the theater's small capacity, advanced ticket purchases are recommended.
To an infectiously energetic rock beat, the show wows audiences with songs like "Aquarius," "Good Morning, Starshine," "Hair," "I Got Life" and "Let The Sunshine In." Claude, Berger, Sheila and the tribe follow their heart's desire through exploring ideas of identity, community, global responsibility and peace, HAIR remains relevant as ever as it examines what it means to be a young person in a changing world.
RATED R for language, nudity, adult dialogue.
