The Platte Valley Players of Brighton, Colorado are presenting the wildly popular and wildly funny play Sylvia by A.R. Gurney at The Armory Performing Arts Center in Brighton through May 15th.

Empty-nesters Greg and Kate have moved back to Manhattan after twenty-two years in the suburbs. Kate believes that "the dog phase of (her) life is definitely over." But life has a way of giving you what you think you don't want. Greg finds Sylvia, a street-smart lab/poodle mix and brings her home. She promptly becomes a bone of contention between Greg and Kate, testing their marriage to hilarious and touching effect.

Directed by Kelly Van Oosbree, the cast features Libby Arnold as Sylvia, Jennifer Burnett as Kate, Marc Graham as Greg and Josh Rigo as Tom/Phyllis/Leslie.

Three performances remain: Friday, May 13 at 7:30 PM, Saturday, May 14 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, May 15 at 2:00 PM at The Armory Performing Arts Center, 300 Strong Street, Brighton, CO 80601. Tickets are $13-$15 online/$15-$17 at the door. This show is rated PG-13 for adult language.
