According to Mid-Life 2 (#WhatDidIComeInHereFor), Forty is the New Thirty! And with songs like Another Trip to the Doctor being belted from our house, BDT Stage is here to remind you that laughter is always the best medicine!

Proud to be 39 seasons young, BDT Stage propels into midlife by staging the hilarious sequel to Mid-Life, Mid-Life 2 (#WhatDidIComeInHereFor)! The regional premiere of Mid-Life 2 (#WhatDidIComeInHereFor) waltzes on stage, hot flashes and all, on Friday, September 9, 2016. To celebrate, all preview week tickets are just $40 for both dinner and the show! And while midlife generally hangs around for many years, Mid-Life 2 (#WhatDidIComeInHereFor) will recede like a hairline after just 9 weeks, playing through November 12.

The follow up to the hilarious Mid-Life: The Crisis Musical, Mid-Life 2 (#WhatDidIComeInHereFor) takes us back into the middle ages once again with a hilariously tuneful look at the aches, pains, and joys of getting older. From ever-increasing trips to the doctor's office, to the horrifying moment when one qualifies for a senior discount, BDT Stage producing artistic director Michael J. Duran says, "Everyone from Gen Xers to Baby Boomers will get a kick out of this show!" Featuring all-new, original songs: Forty is the New Thirty, Nana, Wii- kend Warriors, Golf Widow Blues, I'd Like to Forget, and more, Mid-Life 2 points a finger and laughs at all the inevitable peculiarities that emerge with age.

Writers Jim and Bob Walton, have taken up residence in Boulder to direct the Colorado premiere of Mid-Life 2 with Duran. Having met and performed on Broadway in New York, the trio co-directed the Colorado premiere of the original Mid-Life at BDT Stage in 2007, and reprised in 2008. "I am so thrilled and honored Jim and Bob are in Boulder to help us stage Mid-Life 2 (#WhatDidIComeInHereFor)," says Duran. "With the Walton brothers ensuring the maximum effect of each line, each lyric - Mid-Life 2 isn't just going to be funny, it's going to be down-right hysterical!"
