Sherrie's just a small-town girl living in a lonely world. She took a late night bus to Los Angeles with visions of stardom in her eyes. Rock of Ages is a mix-tape compilation musical of some of the most memorable songs of the 1980s, including Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'," "We Built This City" by Starship, and Foreigner's "I Want to Know What Love Is," set to a story about pursuing dreams. Rock of Ages plays BDT Stage September 1 - November 11, with discounted preview performances August 25 - 31, 2017.

It's the tail end of the big, bad 1980s in Hollywood, and the party has been raging hard. Aqua Net, Lycra, lace and liquor flow freely at one of the Sunset Strips' last legendary venues, a place where sex machine Stacee Jaxx takes the stage and scantily clad groupies line up to turn their fantasies into reality. Amidst the madness, aspiring rock star (and resident toilet cleaner) Drew longs to take the stage as the next big thing (and longs for small-town girl Sherrie, fresh off the bus from Kansas). But the rock and roll fairytale is about to end when German developers sweep into town with plans to turn the fabled Strip into just another capitalist strip mall. Can Drew, Sherrie and the gang save the strip - and themselves - before it's too late? Only the music of hit bands Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake and more hold the answer.

BDT cast Tim Howard in the role of Drew, Scott Severtson as Stacee Jaxx and Olyvia Sydelle as Sherrie. Directed by Scott Beyette. Choreographed by Mckayla Marso.

Tickets for Rock of Ages are on sale now. Prices start at just $43 and include both the performance and dinner served by the stars of the show. All tickets for preview performances (August 25 - 31, 2017) are just $40. Group rate tickets and season subscriptions are available for all performances throughout the year. Call (303) 449-6000 or visit www.bdtstage.com for reservations.

BDT Stage presents four Broadway-quality musicals each season, and has been recognized locally and nationally for commitment to theatrical excellence. Boulder's Daily Camera praises BDT's "consistency in technical achievement, performance and overall production level as it sets a high standard for theatrical professionalism." BDT Stage opens its 40th season with everyone's favorite 80s soundtrack musical Rock of Ages, followed by Annie, Always...Patsy Cline, and The Little Mermaid. The Motones vs The Jerseys will play in rep with Annie for a limited time during the winter holidays, including New Year's Eve. Tickets to all performances are on sale now.
