Denver Center Theatre Company is set to present one of Colorado's most sought-after holiday productions, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, by Charles Dickens, adapted by Richard Hellesen, playing the Stage Theater through December 24. A CHRISTMAS CAROL is the classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge, who confronts his ghosts of past, present and future and finally finds redemption and the true meaning of the season. Capturing hearts again this season is actor Philip Pleasants in the role of Ebenezer Scrooge, and seven-year-old charmer Charlie Korman returns as Tiny Tim. They are joined by Jeff Cribbs as Bob Cratchit, Leslie Alexander as Mrs. Cratchit, Douglas Harmsen as Fred, Mike Hartman as the Ghost of Jacob Marley, Stephanie Cozart as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Michael Fitzpatrick as Fezziwig, Renée Brna as Belle, Harvy Blanks as the Ghost of Christmas Present and Zachary Andrews as the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.

DCTC Associate Artistic Director and Director of New Play Development Bruce K. Sevy (Superior Donuts, Mariela in the Desert, The Voysey Inheritance) directs the cast of 28 actors and twelve children. Set design is by Vicki Smith (The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Dracula, Mariela in the Desert), costume design is by Kevin Copenhaver (Dracula, Mama Hated Diesels), lighting design is by Don Darnutzer (To Kill a Mockingbird, Dracula, Mariela in the Desert), and sound design is by Craig Breitenbach (To Kill a Mockingbird, Dracula, A Midsummer Night's Dream). Music Director is Gregg Coffin (The Liar, A Midsummer Night's Dream) and the show's choreographer for the fourth season is Christine Rowan (A Christmas Carol). The Dialect Coach is Kathryn G. Maes (To Kill a Mockingbird, Ruined).

Harvy Blanks and RAndy Moore will once again join us for a very special holiday event. We'll celebrate the spirit of the holidays with warm drinks and yummy treats as our guests read from several holiday classics. While this event is free, guests are encouraged to help us celebrate the spirit of giving this holiday season by bringing a new or gently used book as a donation to our annual Children's Book Drive which benefits Reach Out and Read Colorado.
