Vanya and his adopted sister Sonia live in the rural Pennsylvania home where they grew up, while their sister Masha enjoys the international lifestyle of a movie star. Shortly after their cleaning woman Cassandra delivers another prediction of doom and disaster, Masha unexpectedly sweeps in - with her 20-something boy-toy Spike and a startling, potentially life-changing announcement.
