‘Enchanted April’ takes everyone along, as four slightly proper British ladies are off to an Italian villa for holiday. With her mind set on overlooking the Mediterranean waters, one restless married lady spins another wife, staid and predictable, into feeling she could use some spice Romano in her life. Once they have the villa of their dreams in focus, all they have to do is find two more females to help bankroll the escapade. Enter one stodgy dowager with a weakness for wisteria and a wistful single lady who might be looking aimlessly past a promising suitor. The four might not appear to be a matched set for holiday, but as long as they can pay up, it’s game on in the Tuscan sun. Everyone bustles and bristles over bedrooms, breakfasts and dealing with a maid who is as saucy as the food. However, the sun and the wisteria work their magic and soon, more than the flowers are blooming. Two husbands materialize, one by choice, one by chance, and the plot thickens right along with the Alfredo sauce. However, the play ends as sweetly as dessert with every character content and properly paired up. Tickets for dinner and theatre are $45; show only tickets are $25. Friday and Saturday dinner is at 6:00 p.m., curtain at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday dinner is at 12:30 p.m., curtain at 2 p.m. To purchase tickets, call 302-856-4560 or go to www.possumpointplayers.org.
