The Playhouse's Broadway In Wilmington Series on Sale 9/16

On September 16, 2015 The Playhouse on Rodney Square will begin selling single tickets for its much-anticipated Broadway in Wilmington series. The series includes six productions: ANNIE, CHICAGO The Musical, MAMMA MIA, BLUE MAN GROUP, 42ND STREET, and JERSEY BOYS. This will be the first opportunity patrons have to purchase tickets for individual shows without a season subscription or Choose Your Own Series package, although these options are still available for those interested in multiple shows.

"We are really looking forward to an extremely successful first season of operating The Playhouse. We believe that we have put together a very strong season, and the enthusiastic response from our season ticket holders confirms that," says Executive Director Mark Fields, who, along with Managing Director of Programming, Steve Bailey, assumed responsibility for programming this season after the acquisition of the theater from the DuPont corporation earlier this year. "Although single tickets will be on sale September 16, it's not too late to buy a season ticket to as few as three of the six productions. Season ticket buyers have a chance to save a lot of money over single tickets, and they also get a number of other benefits, including free parking. If you are a fan of Broadway musicals, that's really the way to go."

Single tickets go on sale September 16 at 10AM, ranging from $40 to $135, and can be purchased by calling The Playhouse Box Office at 302.888.0200, visiting www.ThePlayhouseDE.org , or in-person at 1007 N. Market Street, Wilmington, DE. Box Office Hours are 10AM-4PM, Monday through Friday. By purchasing a Choose Your Own Series package, or becoming a season subscriber, Playhouse patrons can save 10-20% on single ticket prices.
