Second Street Players proudly presents The 39 Steps written by Patrick Barlow based on the classic Hitchcock film January 26th, 27th, and 28th as well as February 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Director Tommye Staley was drawn to the show with its combination of Hitchcock techniques and snappy dialogue. She hopes that when audiences come to sees the show "enjoy the show, laugh till they cry, and that they take away a realization and great appreciation of the incredible talent that this theater has to offer." Lezlie Eustis has the opportunity to play four different characters in the show, and sometimes all at the same time. She says that Second Street Players is like a home to her and everytime that she walks into the theatre she feels reenergized. She hopes "that for a couple of hours the audience will forget their worries, and allow us to transport them to 1940s on an amazing adventure with a story where things are not always as they seem."
