The Possum Point Players Affiliate Possum Juniors are almost ready for opening curtain on their summer musical "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!" The show runs July 21, 22 and 23 at 7 PM and July 24 at 2 PM. General admission tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for senior citizens and students. They can be purchased on line at www.possumpointplayers.org or by calling the ticket line at (302) 856-4560 or at the door if the show is not sold out.

The whimsical story is perfect for family fun entertainment. More than 30 young actors from many communities in southern Delaware act and sing the tale of a father and his children working to restore an old race car. Dad is just a little bit of a whacky inventor. Somehow, some of those replacement parts the family pulls from the junkyard give the pieced-together vehicle magic powers so that it can soar in the clouds and cruise over the sea. Of course, there's a villain who wants the car, and a Grandpa who steps up help foil the nefarious theft plot. Other forces of good join the family in a flight of fancy to keep the jalopy on the high road.

"Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" is suitable entertainment for all audiences. The musical is directed by Devon Lynch. Set design and construction have been led by Possum Juniors and backstage crews that keep the show moving are Possum Juniors. Music Director Stacey Hartman leads a pit band of many ages.

Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI; 421 West 54th Street; New York, NY 10019; Phone: 212-541-4684; Fax: 212-397-4684; http://www.mtishows.com/.
