New Candlelight Theatre is proud to present the area premiere of one of the longest running, most beloved Broadway shows. CATS, winner of 7 TONY Awards including Best Musical, features spectacular dancing, amazing costumes and a glorious musical score. Local demand for this show is strong as some performances have sold out. New Candlelight Theatre, Delaware's best deal for dinner and show, will present this musical for eight weeks, closing on March 20, 2011.

The show is directed and choreographed by Dann Dunn, a veteran of CATS and returning guest artist to NCT. Mr. Dunn performed a number of roles during the 2007 / 2008 North American Tour including: Rum Tum Tugger, Mungojerrie, and Skimbleshanks. "It's a phenomenon" says Dunn, when asked about what sets CATS apart from any other musicals. "It's one of those shows that epitomizes musical theatre and continues to bring in an audience of people that have seen the show dozens of times, as well as people that have never seen a musical in their life." CATS uses elaborate costumes, intricate make-up design and large set pieces to create a show that "is incredibly visually appealing," Dunn says. "It's exciting (for the audience) to be invited into the mysterious world of this tribe of cats (and taken) on a wonderful journey through beautiful music and dance."

The cast of 19 is filled with local talents spanning the tri-state area including: Timothy Lamont Cannon as Old Deuteronomy, Erica Scanlon Harr as Grizabella, David Snyder as Gus / Bustopher Jones, Colleen McGinnis as Jellylorum, Lindsay Mauck as Jennyanydots, Michael Angelini as Skimbleshanks, Ricky Rotandi as Mungojerrie, Alexis DeDonato as Rumpleteazer, Holly Becker as Victoria, Justina Ercole as Sillabub, Tim Osgood as Munkustrap, Kaylan Wetzel as Bombalurina, Anastasia Bokas as Demeter, Billy Hart as Tumblebrutus, Matt Josbena as Plato / Macavity, Ryan Blackson as Mr. Mistoffelees, Rob Rodriguez as Alonzo, Kelly Rosado as Cassandra and Cory Wade Hindorff as Rum Tum Tugger.
Rounding out the production staff is Musical Director Clint Williams, Lighting Designer Chris Alberts, Scenic Designer Jeffrey Reim, Costume Designer Timothy Lamont Cannon and Jackie Alberts as Assistant Director.
