The main, if invisible, character might be a large white bunny, but rabbit food is definitely not center stage on the menu for Possum Point Player's presentation of the classic comedy, HARVEY. Freshly prepared in the Possums kitchen, a hearty winter dinner of soup, salad, Chicken Harvé entrée and apple crisp dessert is served up for the final weekend, Feb. 5, 6, and 7.
As for as just how many audience members will actually "see" Harvey is anybody's guess and reports of sightings will remain confidential. What's happens in Possum Hall stays in Possum Hall.
Fridays and Saturdays, dinner is 6 p.m. and the show is 7:30 p.m. Sundays, dinner is at 12 noon and show time is 2 p.m. Tickets for the dinner theatre package are $45; tickets for the show only are $20. Tickets may be purchased on line at www.possumpointplayers.org or by calling 302-856-4560. Dinner tickets are limited.
Directed by Linda Killion, a seasoned cast performs the classic American comedy that features a mild-tempered, generous soul who just happens to have a six foot white rabbit as his best friend. It's enough to drive family and friends to extreme measures as they deal with the questionably professional staff of the local sanitarium. Stephanie Allman, Doug Friend, Cheryl Graves, Malcolm Keen, Barbara Logan, Michael Murnin, Rosanne Pack, E.J. Panico, Marsha Shull, Michael Williams and Kenney Workman make up the cast.
Possum Point Players is supported, in part, by grants from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
