On September 13, 2014, Clear Space Theatre will be marking the 10th anniversary of bringing live theatre and performing arts education to the residents of Sussex County. "These 10 years have been an exciting journey for everyone," said Chris Berg, Chair of the Board of Directors, "for actors, directors, volunteers students, but most of all for the audiences who have enjoyed an array of Clear Space productions ranging from HELLO DOLLY, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, CHICAGO, OUR TOWN, MOUSETRAP, THE ODD COUPLE (female version) and most recently CAMELOT. "

To mark this milestone, Clear Space will be hosting a gala on September 13, 2014 - a "Casual Black Tie and Barefoot" dinner party catered by Nage with dancing to the Funsters at the Indian River Life Saving Station. It will be a fun and fundraising event looking to the next 10 years. It will also be a celebration of the community's continued investment in performing arts and its appreciation for what the arts contribute to local businesses, craftsmen and others, especially to those in the hospitality industry.

Kay Ryan of Bethany Beach, Vice Chair of the Board and immediate past Board Chair and long term supporter of Clear Space is encouraging the community's continued investment by making a $10,000 challenge grant . The challenge is to be matched by a $10,000 donor in support of the gala. Ryan says: "I am proud and confident of the vitality Clear Space brings to the community." In this she is joined by Clear Space's Executive Director, Wesley Paulson, who adds "I am excited about the recognition and support Clear Space receives from the community and I look forward to the company's growth."
