Bootless Stageworks is excited to bring to audiences the first officially licensed staging and East Coast premiere of Orange Is The New Musical- The Unauthorized Parody.

Direct from the Los Angeles Fringe - your favorite Netflix prison series, Orange Is The New Black, gets the full parody treatment, complete with songs, dances and jokes inspired by the groundbreaking hit show. Join the behind-bars adventures of Piper, Alex, Red, Nicky, Crazy Eyes and more as they deal with the re-imagined day-to-day struggles of life in an all-women's prison. OITNM is a gender-bending, mind-warping, laugh-till-you-cry musical spoof created by Jared Goode and Veronica Vasquez. Bootless once again stages the first licensed production of an original new work.

Bootless transforms it's performance space at St. Stephen's in Trolley Square into the cafeteria at Litchfield. Audience members get to experience all of the action in this side-splitting musical parody right alongside of the inmates. The house band, Side Boob Wannabes, pumps outs a full rack collection of ample tunes including, You've Got Time, The Food is Sh*t, Chocolate and Vanilla Swirl, Sell the Baby and Lesbian Lover.

As the curtain-warmer each night, audiences get to embrace their inner-child with The Shock Puppets. The gleefully profane sock puppet sketch comedy show created by Chris Manley and Jessie Rose of the Rose Theatre Company in Texas makes its audible gasp regional premiere with Bootless. A far cry from standard sock puppet children's theater, The Shock Puppets embodies "all the messed-up s**t we normally can't do because there's a kid around." - Chris Manley.

Orange is the New Musical runs Friday and Saturday evenings May 5 to May 13, 2017. Purchase tickets online at our website - www.bootless.org. Located in the lower level of St. Stephen's Church (1301 N. Broom St. Wilmington DE), Bootless is within walking distance to several Trolley Square restaurants and pubs for pre-show dining and after-show drinks. The venue offers concessions, free parking (on-street & lot) and ADA accessibility.
