Brains, glorious brains, and blood, lots of blood. The highly-creative and quirky Wilmington based theater company, Bootless Stageworks, brings back their troupe of singing and dancing zombies for another round of campy bloody summer musical brain-eating fun.

"Musical of the Living Dead strikes a nice balance between the all-out gore fest of today's zombie films and the over-the-top drama of musical theatre," comments one reviewer at AVClub.com.

Created by Chicago-based sketch comedy theatre troupe, Cowardly Scarecrow, with book and lyrics by Marc Lewallen and Brad Younts and music by Mary Spray, Musical of the Living Dead takes audiences on a hysterical journey beyond the grave with its satirical send-up of classic zombie film, Night of the Living Dead, where ten survivors of the recent zombie apocalypse, trapped in a farmhouse are willing to try anything to escape a ravenous horde of brain-eating and, in this case, dancing zombies. The show's original songs cover a variety of styles from Gershwin to Green Day. And, although you may know the story, one never knows what new and zany effects Bootless will add to the production each year.

This time around - Audience members can enter a raffle to become a zombie and perform in the show. One lucky audience member at each performance will be chosen to get "zombified" in our Green Room along with the cast members and then take the stage with Johnny, Barbra and Grand Pa for the cemetery scene.

Most importantly is the choice seating for these types of shows. Musical of the Living Dead, just like Evil Dead, The Musical, has special seating, known as The Pit Splatter Zone, for Audience members wanting a complete 4-D theater experience. Musical of the Living Dead is Bootless' bloodiest and messiest show because it's not just blood coming your way. The Pit Splatter Zone tickets include express VIP seating and private bar.

Musical of the Living Dead has only two shows remaining - July 22nd & July 23rd - both with 8:00 pm curtain time. Bootless Stageworks is conveniently located in the Trolley Square area of Wilmington at 1301 North Broom Street, Wilmington, DE, 19806.
